Occupational Therapist

Work-Able Solutions provides private occupational therapy and ergonomic consulting services throughout Manitoba. Established in 1998, we are a well-respected firm, with a team of experienced therapists dedicated to integrity. We strive to provide innovative and practical workplace services and quality care for our clients.

We are currently seeking an occupational therapist to provide workplace assessment and injury prevention services.
This is a contract position with casual work hours, and potential for up to full time work is available.

Our workplace assessment and injury prevention programs offer a range of occupational therapy services to insurance companies, employers, unions, and government agencies. You will be providing office and industrial ergonomic assessments, physical and cognitive job demands analysis, injury prevention training, return to work services, and functional capacity evaluation. You will have the opportunity to be creative, experience a diverse clinical caseload, and act as a consultant/resource regarding issues pertaining to disability management and workplace accommodation.

Additional opportunities for work are available in our other service areas including: home/ADL assessment, community and workplace mental health services, and employee wellness services.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation or Masters in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university
Registered and in good standing with COTM; membership with MSOT and CAOT is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational therapy practice within the following core clinical practice areas: ergonomics, physical demands analysis, functional capacity evaluation, and return to work
Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle - travel regularly throughout Winnipeg and occasionally into rural areas of Manitoba is required
Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear well-structured reports
Must be self-directed and be able to apply a customer service approach
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
A home office with computer, Microsoft Office software, fax capabilities, and a cell phone
