Occupational Therapist - Part-time or Full-time


Work-Able Solutions invites candidates to join our team as an Occupational Therapist.
This contract position is flexible from part-time (0.4) to full-time.



Position Overview: As an Occupational Therapist with Work-Able Solutions, you will be part of an experienced team offering programs and services ranging from insurance requested exams to employee wellness education. The clinical responsibilities include the provision of occupational therapy for adults with a variety of needs stemming from physical, complex orthopedic, neurological, and/or mental health conditions. In addition to conducting functional assessments in the client's home and workplace, this position also involves the delivery of corporate services in ergonomics, disability management, mental health, and medical accommodation. The preparation of comprehensive medical-legal reports and communication with various stakeholders such as insurance companies and employers are critical aspects of this role. You will have the opportunity to be creative and achieve professional growth, while having flexibility and control over your daily schedule.


 
The successful candidate for this position will:
Have a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation or Masters in Occupational Therapy
Be registered and in good standing with COTM and hold membership and insurance with CAOT
Have a minimum of 18 months clinical experience in occupational therapy practice in two or more of the following: ADL functional assessment; mental health; ergonomics; vocational rehabilitation; concussion rehabilitation; return to work; stay at work and workplace accommodation; cognitive assessment; job analysis; functional capacity evaluation
Hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel regularly within Winnipeg and occasionally into rural Manitoba
Possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Thrive in an environment that requires a customer service approach while working independently
Demonstrate strong skills in analysis, creative problem solving, and decision-making
Have access to a home office space
